Anticipation

Riders of Rohan is going to change this wonderful game forever. Most certainly for the better, as I believe the majority of changes and the beautiful new Rohan regions are a much needed breath of fresh air. It’s going to be amazing, and most of us are looking forward to it with much anticipation. No doubt Turbine staff will be holding their breath tomorrow as they keep monitoring the download servers on the day of release. Those days are not like other days, and usually extremely stressful for everyone. I expect to get stuck on the launcher or not enter at all on the first day, but this is all fine with me. Eventually, we all get there, and cross that bridge into Rohan.

Just like any other player that bothers with outfits, I’ve prepared my characters for the journey into Rohan. I really wanted to achieve a very rugged look, at least for the first part of the journey. I know that I’ll soon be changing outfits again, as new gear will start to appear that looks more interesting than what I’ve been using forever already, but still I wanted my characters to look travel ready. So here’s my last pre-Rohan outfit for my Lore-master.
I wish everyone who reads this a very wonderful journey into Rohan this week. Enjoy the beautiful new scenery and most of all the incredible music!

I actually haven’t made new outfits for Rohan, hadn’t even thought of it as such! Probably because I won’t be riding straight in there (my main isn’t quite 74, currently in Dunland), and I’ve thought about the new stuff that will be coming out.
That outfit would probably suit the Steed of the Dusk-watch too, with the navy legs. Those boots look quite nice, almost suede.

I so agree about the Steed of the Dusk-watch, five of my other characters got it but not her! I was so sad, but hoping for next anniversary and I wasn’t willing to pay the TP. I too have chars that will be doing other things than Rohan. The Great River area will be lowered in level so some up and coming level capped chars will be heading there first!

  2. This is very good outfit! I like the outfit. The jacket gives the idea as if you’re wearing a blouse instead of the jacket. I like that. This seems to me a more slim (not sure if that’s the right word for “slank” in this case) outfit. The boots are a good fit with the rest. They’re not too bulgy (?). Overall, I love it 🙂
Oh, and I like the mount. This blonde color is great. Good to know it’s a reputation item!
    Have fun in Rohan!

Thank you Choc! It will be a while for you but it’s worth getting the levels done and heading for Rohan. By the way, slank = slender, but slim is just as good imho 🙂

Yep, so far I’m still enjoying the starter areas. Each class plays differently (thank Turbine for allowing multiple accounts 😀 ).
Oh, and thanks for the “Slender”. That slipped my mind yesterday 🙂
Your idea of getting an outfit for RoR gave me an idea of getting my characters an outfit for each questpack/expansion I buy. It will be fun to look for the perfect outfit to travel into a new region! I think this latest idea is the first outfit I’ll find for every character of mine, besides Sheherezi’s Gardeners outfit 🙂 Thanks for the inspiration!

  3. Excellent use of creativity! 🙂 She totally looks ready for adventure. I’m currently putting together an outfit for Rohan as well, just putting the screenshots together now.

I’m liking it so far, and I agree with you that the music is lovely for it – although I’m not so keen on the re-vamp of the music that plays over the character selection screen. I haven’t actually been into Rohan proper yet, I’m still doing Great River area as I saved the region for when I’d get xp benefit. What I saw of Rohan in the short time I tried Beta looked good though. The horses were hard to control!
