Cosmetic Lotro

Playing with fire

After two very inspiring outfits from my fellow bloggers Landroval Style and The Ivy, I decided to give it a try myself and create something for my Rune-keeper dwarf. My dwarf is my second Rune-keeper and not nearly as high as my elf, but there are some that say that the only “real” rune-keepers are dwarves, so I thought I should give him the benefit of the doubt and allow him to show off some fiery cosmetics. If you’re considering purchasing the Rune-keeper class I recommend you check out Casual Stroll to Mordor’s price analysis of the Moria Expansion as it is on sale in the Lotro Market currently.

This weekend I tried to take advantage of the 100% XP bonus and get a few levels on some alts, but temperatures here in Europe have risen to the degree of the forge in these screenshots, so I have not been able to sit still at my computer much.

I do hope the Summer Festival is going to start this week. It was on the calendar for last week, but got postponed because of the delay of the Farmer’s Faire earlier. Usually festivals start on Tuesdays, so after tomorrow would be my best guess, but who knows. I will try to post a preview of the cosmetics as soon as they are available.

Give it up for RK love! πŸ˜‰

I love the color and theme for this post and his outfit is divine. Nice mix of pieces; that chest/legs set just screams RK to me and looks great in black. I love this!

And yay! Thanks soo much for the shout out.

  2. This is so good. The lighting is relatively dim, but the molten glow of the forges highlight the outfit’s rust accents in the best way possible. This is an outfit I could see my dorf RK wearing. I’m also digging the background photo for this post. Excellent work.

    • Thank you Mirmo! Maybe the Steed of Night would be a good match here? I guess even the Flames of the Deep Cloak (that is matches the steed) would match this outfits, but I like the back of the robe so haven’t used a cloak, but on the Steed of Night it would be perfect.

  3. Eeee, I’m so glad you joined the RK parade! This is awesome. I absolutely love how the helm amplifies a Dwarf’s fierce facial impression. The shoulders and legpiece work absolutely great together.

    Awesome!

  4. This is really cool. πŸ™‚ I love how the loose sleeves add a lot of bulk to his already significant frame, it looks very striking. And the burglar hood looks great on a dwarf, who knew!

      • I totally missed this 😦 Sorry about that. Yep, I’m certainly back πŸ™‚ I had computer problems, which turned out to be ISP related. Glad it all worked out in the end πŸ™‚ Right now I’m even working on getting enough TP to buy myself some wardrobe space. I finally want to to start the “Hunt” for a few outfits for my Hunter and Guardian. It will be a lot of fun to do πŸ™‚
