Cosmetic Lotro

Eaves watcher

I hope everyone is at least as lucky as myself, and pulling at least one of the special steeds out of those envelopes. This particular steed is somewhat confused about its origins, as the pony size is called “Warden’s Steed” and the regular horse is called “Steed of the Dusk-watch”. I guess I’ll stick to Dusk-warden Steed to include both titles.
For this outfit I used the Lore-master’s robe that can be purchased for Arnorian coins in Tinnundir. You don’t have to be a Lore-master to buy it, so if you have wardrobe space and coins, you can equip it as a cosmetic through the wardrobe. All Annuminas set-gear (around level 30-35) feature the typical Wardens of Annuminas star emblem, which is a perfect match to the stars on the horse tack, so if you don’t care for robes but do like the stars, check out the gear for other classes that is available.
It is assumed that this horse was originally intended to become a second kindred reputation horse for Annuminas, but I’ve never seen a confirmation from a dev on that assumption, so I’m not sure if this is true.

The coming days I will be spending some time levelling my characters, taking advantage of the +100% XP gain until April 30th. I think this is a marvelous Anniversary perk, as it allows me to get through some un-favorite content that I ‘ve been putting off for long!

If you want to know where a certain armour piece or cosmetic comes from, you can look it up on Lotro Wiki, by typing its name into the search box. You can equip any piece of armour cosmetically through the wardrobe, even armour that is not meant for your class or level.

Wow, that couldn’t be more perfect! I love mount-themed outfits, and this one is particularly nice 😀 I love that LM robe, too, my RK has it!

Is that xp buff just on kills, or does it cover quest hand ins and as well? I’m still annoyed about the xp removal from deed completion 😛

    • I don’t think that would be a good match as those boots have an undyable part to it that is light, rust coloured leather (on the backside and soles). This colour doesn’t match the steed. I think the crafted Tier5 medium Westernesse Protector’s Boots, (which look the same as the Barrow Scout’s Boots from the Great Barrows Medium set) would be a better alternative.

My main is an elf LM. I had the whole Evendim set in my vault and just won that Warden’s horse yesterday. I dyed the robe and the shoulders evendim blue and the gloves and boots white. It looks very nice! Great article.

Fantastic outfit! I will definitely be using this. I have to say that was generous of Turbine to give out 68% faster mounts, considering how expensive they usually are in the store – and I was lucky to win both steeds on my main toon! Excellent haul this year, /cheers.
