I am not posting this outfit because I think it’s so original, because it definitely is not. Everyone who has done the Dunland quests has kept at least the chestpiece and the helmet and I see it used very frequently. However I did decide to post it because of this cloak. This “Specialist’s Cloak” is available from the Skirmish vendor for some 4,500 skirmish marks, and there are not many players willing to part with that many marks for a level 65 cloak. However, the Rise of Isengard expansion has seen a cloak design revival of sorts; random drops that repeat a cloak pattern that used to be a bit harder to acquire before the expansion. The cloak you see here is one of those drops, and instead of 4,5k skirmish marks it cost me only 200 silver. I think it’s one of the cloaks that is a perfect match to this chest and head piece, so now my champion is dressed up as my knight in shining armour (my real life knight however, wears a tweed overcoat instead of a cool cloak, and carries an iPhone instead of a sword, but oh well… 😉 ).
If you want to know where a certain armour piece or cosmetic comes from, you can look it up in the Lorebook, by typing its name into the search box. You can equip any piece of armour cosmetically through the wardrobe, even armour that is not meant for your class or level.

Thanks for the update on the cloaks, I’m not much of a fan for that sort of green but if I do come across that cosmetic cloak I will give this outfit a go ❤ I sadly do not have a knight of my own! (no knight would come within 50 yards of me with this flu) ¬¬
yayyyy the cloak! i wanted so many times to buy it since Argendauss used it (http://lotrofashion.blogspot.com/2011/08/guest-argendauss-of-brandywine.html) and now i get a chance – i’ll be checking AH more often 🙂
The cloak is meh to me but I love the rest of the outfit (I just started in Dunland recently so I’m behind the times).
I like the design of the cloak, but not really keen on the colouring of it with the green and red. 🙂
I do really like the chest piece though. I picked it up on my elf LM and kept it even though it really does look awful on the male elves because of the stupid mincy stance they have. It looks great on my captain though, and pretty good on my hobbit girl. 🙂 I’m a fan of these new items coming with the leggings included on most of them. 🙂
I think this cloak matches this outfit perfectly. He truly looks like a knight in shining armour right out of a medieval story.
Yeah! Glad you got a hold of that cloak type.
