Another piece of surprise loot I received last week was the Cloak of the Raven’s Claw. I am a casual player and do not per se aim for the challenge modes or the hardmodes of whatever is the latest instance in fashion, but I do like to group and see as much content as possible, even raids. However it seems to me (at least on my server) that even though the instances of the “In Their Absence” questline do have a tier 1 setting, players only run them on tier 2. So in order to have a look around in the Glacier Fortress, I ended up running it in challenge mode. After defeating a crazy cross bear, some displeased frost grims, annoyed giants and after almost being frozen to death, I received a very nice cloak for the effort. Not only do the stats serve me greatly, it makes for a shiny nice new outfit as well! A combination of qualities I rarely encounter. Lucky me!
Chest: Hauberk of the Mirrormere, Evendim blue dye (store exclusive cosmetic)
Hands: Steel Gloves, Evendim blue dye (crafted, heavy)
Feet: Steel Boots, Evendim blue dye (crafted, heavy)
Back: Cloak of the Raven’s Claw, Evendim blue dye (drop from Sâri-surma Glacier Fortress)
As per request the combination with the Steed of Minas Ithil (Lotro Store Limited Availability):
Very (very!) nice.
How does it look with the Ithil steed?
I added a picture for your convenience. I think it looks wonderful!! 😀
really beautiful! i love those “new” cloaks, i gotta start playing more seriously again to get to those instances (been to glacier fortress only once).
Beautiful!
A truly beautilful outfit, the cloak looks stunning!
Wow! Love that outfit and horse
tried it & love it 😀
Wow, awesome!! The helmet is a good match too!! 😀
thx 😀
I belive I died this one red. My characters are all named Flame***** (for example my dwarf is FlameKappi). Thus all toons have a more posh (read celebratory) outfit that is red and yellow/orange to play on the Flame part of my name. This one was baught for my captain 🙂
