I am very excited about this and looking forward to enjoying a conversation with my fellow cosmetic bloggers. I am also a bit nervous, because I have never done this before and I have no experience with the technical aspects of a round table conversation. However, Goldenstar has assured us that everything will work out fine, so I hope to talk to you all on Saturday!
i am nervous as well :)) but i hope everything will turn out great and readers/listeners will be happy 🙂 i’m looking forward to hearing you girls on saturday!
I’m looking forward to joining you in the chat room!
We want Cosmetics for weapons aswell! Legendary items look poorly decorated.
Example compare any Captain Halberd with the Halber “Captain’s Arm” from Barad Gularan — its the one used several weeks on store promotion images.
I so very much agree with you, but the devs have already explained in the past that this is a near impossible task. We’ll have to wait and see what happens.
They haven’t said it’s an impossible task. What they’ve consistently said is that an items cosmetic system (weapons, shields, instruments, etc.) would be a comparable undertaking to the original cosmetic system. They could do one or the other and they chose the outfit cosmetic system (good call, I think).
It’s something they all want to do but there has to be enough time and money to do it right. Floon was the main Dev keeping us up-to-date on that but since he’s on other projects right now and not doing anything with LOTRO it’s safe to say it’s not happening Soon.
Your explanation is completely correct, however it counts as “impossible” for exactly the reasons you mention 🙂
I’m so bummed I missed this! I’ll have to listen to the recording once it’s released.
