Although my champion is a male character, I feel all the Moria heavy armour sets look better on a female character. I have reservations about the “skirt” part for males. I would have preferred a legging type of design myself. Sometimes the Moria sets seem a bit over the top and too unrealistic for Middle Earth couture, but then I understand that this is an mmo and people expect their armour to look spectacular somehow. In any case my champ sent his set over to my lovely blond captain, who isn’t anywhere near the Moria levels yet, but more than happy to show how to make this all look good.
The boots are an anomaly in my wardrobe, as they come from the minstrel Rift raid-set and as a casual player I only raid occasionally.
Chest: Breastplate of the Axe-handler, sienna dye (Moria barter tokens, champion)
Head: Circlet of the Westfold, default dye (Rise of Isengard pre-order cosmetic)
Shoulders: Dwarf Steel Shoulder Guards, sienna dye (heavy armour smith TH)
Hands: Gauntlets of the Axe-handler, umber dye (Moria barter tokens, champion)
Legs: Leggings of the Axe-handler, sienna dye (Moria barter tokens, champion)
Feet: Wandering Bard’s Boots, umber dye (Rift raid-set, minstrel)
Back: Cloak of the Stronghold, umber dye (Moria Grand Stairs chest drop)
I love the skirted leggings! What a lovely set of armor.
Does this cloak share cosmetic likeness with any other cloak? I’d swear I’ve seen it elsewhere before but can’t seem to track it down.
Yes it does, it’s a bind on acquire raid/instance drop somewhere, but I don’t remember if it’s from DN Lothlorien, DG Mirkwood or even one of the Moria instances. Finding it as a world drop between level 65-75 is probably easier! 🙂
